The Best Energy Efficient Windows
Window World AR’s SolarZone Insulating Glass Packages
We all love the view of the outdoors that windows allow. We also recognize that with more glass comes more exposure to the temperature fluctuations of the outdoors. If you’re looking for energy efficient windows, try our SolarZone Insulating Glass Packages. This package is designed for superior thermal performance, so it keeps window openings both beautiful and energy-efficient. Combining the Warm-Edge Spacer System with multi-layered vacuum deposition Low-E glass and Argon gas, the SolarZone glass package makes for a “greener” home. This state-of-the-art technology cuts the consumption of costly fossil fuels that pollute the environment. In addition, it reduces the susceptibility of a home to damaging ultraviolet energy. That ultraviolet energy can lead to the fading of carpets, curtains, and furniture by over 75%!
Warm-Edge Spacer System
A window’s spacer system, or the component that separates glass layers, is remarkably impactful on the energy efficiency of the entire unit. The traditional, box-shaped spacer system can increase heat loss, causing condensation to form on the glass’s edge.
Our Warm-Edge Spacer is designed to block the path of escaping heat far more effectively. This in turn reduces condensation on winter glass. Non-conducive edges eliminate any glass-to-metal contact and contribute to a reduction of edge-of-glass temperatures. They also feature a unique U-channel design, so these spacers are far more effective than their dated predecessors.
Low-E Glass
SolarZone Low-E Glass is created by applying a microscopic, undetectable metallic coating to an insulating glass unit’s second surface. Its intelligent design blocks heat gain from the sun’s reflected rays in the summer. During cold winter months, it allows warmth from shorter solar rays into the house.
Argon
Our SolarZone Glass Packages leave no detail to chance. The space between the glass lites, historically just dead air, is filled with Argon gas. This colorless, odorless, non-reactive gas is the third most prevalent gas in our atmosphere. Its extremely low thermal conductivity and high density (Argon is 38% denser than air at 1.784 grams / liter at STP) makes it an ideal insulating agent.
